Coordinator of Music Ministry

Purpose: To coordinate the Musician Schedule for Mass at Sacred Heart, to coordinate the responsibilities of liturgical song to enhance prayerfulness at Mass.
Accompanist (Piano/Organ)

Purpose: To accompany a cantor/ensemble/choir in liturgical song to enhance the prayerfulness of the Mass.
Responsibilities: To play the planned music, as given by the cantor, accompanist, or music coordinator at scheduled Masses. To practice the required music outside of Mass.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per Mass, including practice outside of Mass
Commitment needed: Year-round.
Instrumentalist (Violin, Flute, Guitar, Drums, etc.)

St. Ephrem’s Choir (Grades 5-8)

Purpose: To lead the assembly in liturgical song to enhance the prayerfulness of the Mass.
Responsibilities: To lead the congregation in liturgical song as given by the St. Ephrem’s Choir director. To attend rehearsals, usually on Wednesdays during the academic year.
Time Commitment: 1 hour approximately 2 times per month. Wednesday rehearsals: 5:45PM to 6:30PM
Commitment needed: October - May
Worship Team (Grades 9-12)

Purpose: To lead the assembly in liturgical song to enhance the prayerfulness of the Mass.
Responsibilities: To lead the congregation in liturgical song as decided by the Worship Team director. To attend rehearsals, usually on Wednesdays during the academic year.
Time Commitment: 1 hour approximately 2 times per month. Wednesday rehearsals: 5:45PM to 6:30PM

Men’s Group

Commitment needed: September - May
Treble Cantori

Purpose: To lead the assembly in liturgical song through an all-female ensemble to enhance the prayerfulness of the Mass.
Responsibilities: To lead the congregation in planned music as decided by the group leader, group members, the accompanist or other appropriate resource.
Time Commitment: Monthly or as scheduled by the group leader
Commitment needed: September - May
Sacred Heart Children’s Choir

Purpose: To lead the Wednesday Children’s Mass in liturgical song through a student ensemble to enhance the prayerfulness of the Mass.
Responsibilities: To lead the Wednesday Mass congregation in planned music as decided by the group leader, the accompanist, or other appropriate resource.
Time Commitment:Weekly
Commitment needed: September - May
